‘Summer hues and big love’
It’s been a long time coming! And with one utterly crazy last year bursting with so many of the coolest wedding stories, I realised that blogging had totally been put to the side…. Like, for over a year! And it kinda pains me, because sure, we can share flitting images on Instagram but it never does the story justice, like you can share on a blog! So after finally getting caught up, it’s time to gently grab you by the hand and take you back to some of the coolest stories I’ve been lucky enough to be part of. And where better to start than with one of my highlights of last year at the Wilderness venue with two of the coolest people you’re ever likely to meet.
There’s hasn’t been a day more perfectly crafted for two souls than this one. And a day I just knew would be quite the spectacle. Set amongst the trees and marshes deep in the Kent countryside, surrounded by views of open greenery as far as the eye can see. A stunning boathouse to make those huge promises to each other, and a reception spot nestled perfectly beneath a canopy of natural dense woodland. Total total Bliss!
With a relaxed morning spent in their separate cosy airbnbs around the city of Canterbury. A short Landrover drive was all it took to get to the spot where all their closest friends and family were ready to show their support, along with the beaming Joel under the shade away from the beaming summer sun. What followed couldn’t have encapsulated their passion for laughter and life any more. A teepee quite literally bursting with delicious food, incredible music and a pure sense of happiness with everybody so over the moon that they could be part of their story through such crazy times. It felt so good to put those strange times aside, and be in this utopia of joy thinking of nothing else but their epic commitment to each.
To be photographing moments like this is truly is what it’s all about. Immersed in nature, amongst all its different shades, capturing the adventure of two souls who have become good friends.
