  • Ok, wow, how on earth is Christmas only 18 days away!? who am I kidding, I love it; The epic food, the nostalgic sing-out-loud tunes and man, with quite a fair amount of rubbish that seems to have hit my own family this past year, it feels like the perfect time to go all out. And that definitely Includes starting to prepare some pretty epic gifts to send out to my awesome couples to help them get all festive!! (Love this bit) Soooo keep an eye out for the mail in a few weeks folks!!
  • Some workday mornings involve firing up the kettle and knuckling down to emails and editing… last Friday morning however, involved a nice early morning drive to the old/stunning historic port town of Rye on the south coast to capture a gorgeous pre-wedding shoot; Quiet cobbled back streets, Tom & Laura lovin life and the camera, all rounded off with a warm cuppa. If Carlsberg did Fridays…
  • So to build up until the end of the year… which by the way is only 4 weeks away. Wtf? I thought it’d be cool to share five of my fave shots I’ve taken from 2019, a one per week kinda thing, and to explain a little behind the image. The thinking behind it, making it work, the couple, even the camera settings for the peeps that like that kinda thing. No holes barred. And if there's anything you want to ask about it, fire away! :) So here we go, Numero Uno…
And it just has to be this little number from the Umbrian Hills in Italy with Lizzy & Gregg! After a good bit of hunting the day before, I found this gorgeous spot just a short little drive down from the wedding venue.. (A drive the Fiat 500 hire car didn’t seem to be a fan of, ha). Bursting with small white flowers that I thought would act as a kind of white carpet which would help the couple pop in the image. And alongside the rolling hills as a backdrop, with just the sound of wind through the hills as a soundtrack making it uber relaxing, it really couldn’t get much better… or so I thought, then a small thin blanket of light cloud arrived just five minutes before shooting, making the light absolutely perfect!! It’s safe to say, that this was without a doubt one of my favourite shoot experiences for sure, and one of those spots and couples I could have photographed for literally hours, ha!! Camera settings:
Lens - 35mm
ISO - 125
Shutter Speed - 1/2500
Aperture - 2.0

And there we have the first fave pic of the year, woop!!
  • Autumn, I’m sad to see you disappearing!! Until next year..
  • Sometimes you wake up super early for a sunrise and it never appears ... but holy crap, give me moody tones, a little drizzle and hanging with these guys any day!!
  • Autumnal shades and whopping smiles... still trying to think of what could be better!?
  • Man... what we have to put up with down here in Kent as a backdrop!
  • Well this is a pretty exciting post, and I seriously always have to pinch myself when this happens, but the bookings for 2020 are now totally full, woohooooo! And wait, 2021 is already half full too. Ok this is getting a little nuts! Picking your dream vendors is such a big part of the wedding adventure, and my word I can’t even begin to tell you how much more stress free it all is when you've got your team all locked in and ready to go. To be lucky enough to be part of so many adventures, well, it makes the heart pretty damn full, so an unbelievably huge thank you/high five/massive power hug, you name it! :) Side note… If you’re wanting to get your date booked in for 2021 or beyond, lets go grab a coffee (and cake...always!).
